STC commits operators to share towers and network components when deploying telecommunications services

The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) required operators to participate in communications towers and network components and to coordinate with each other in the establishment of ICT infrastructure so that operators can take advantage of the existing infrastructure to increase the geographic coverage of their networks.

This step will accelerate and facilitate the deployment of ICT services, achieve economic efficiency of the infrastructure and provide high levels of performance, allowing multiple options for subscribers.

The Authority confirmed that the regulation adopted in this regard will be applied to the existing and new tower sites, in line with the policy of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Authority to develop the ICT infrastructure in an organized manner
