UAE, China sign MoU to cooperate on Silk Road initiatives

The Governments of the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation within the economic framework of the Silk Road and the Silk Road Initiative for the 21st Century.
The memorandum was signed by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State and He Leving, Minister of the National Development and Reform Commission of the People’s Republic of China during the historic visit of His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China.
Dr. Sultan Al Jaber praised the vision, guidance and support of the UAE leadership, which focuses on consolidating relations with friendly countries, thus contributing to the realization of common interests. He stressed that the memorandum of understanding signed today is a strong indicator of the strength of bilateral relations between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China , And reflects the keenness of the two leaderships in the two friendly countries to strengthen the bonds of joint action in the interest of the two countries, the region and the world.
The memo translates the political will of the two leaderships in the UAE and China to jointly promote the “Belt and Road” initiative to promote the spirit of the Silk Road to peace, cooperation, openness, mutual learning and cooperation in the interests of the two parties.
It also facilitates the exchange and integration of goods, technology and capital through mutual cooperation and education, as well as promoting the coordinated development and joint progress of both countries in the fields of economy, society, the environment and many others.
