UAE Participates in the China Small and Medium Enterprises Exhibition

 The UAE is participating in the 15th edition of the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Exhibition, which opened in Guangzhou, China, with a delegation of more than 120 representatives from federal and local authorities and the private sector, including about 85 UAE entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises. The exhibition, which aims to review the products of small and medium enterprises from within and outside China, is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China and the State Market Administration Administration and the Guangdong Government in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The state is participating in the four-day exhibition, which covers an area of ​​150,000 square meters and includes 6,000 platforms – as the first partner Arab country with a 1,000 square meter pavilion and 78 platforms for small and medium national enterprises and companies. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade, said: “The China International Fair has become a leading platform for economic partnerships in small and medium enterprises on a global scale, The participating countries to exchange experiences and build fruitful trade relations, as well as a new opportunity to strengthen the excellent bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China. Al-Saleh said that China is the largest non-oil trading partner of the UAE. Foreign trade between the two countries grew by 15% in 2017 with a total value of US $ 53.3 billion. The UAE also accounted for 30% of China’s total exports to Arab countries, And 22% of the total Arab-Chinese trade during 2017. He pointed out that besides the balanced trade activity, China’s tourism to the UAE is witnessing remarkable growth, with China among the top 10 tourist markets of the country. The UAE hosts about 300,000 Chinese citizens working in various sectors of the country. 75 direct flights per week, and more than 4,000 Chinese companies in the country, all of which contributed to boosting China’s estimated $ 2.8 billion worth of Chinese investments
