UAE participates in the meeting of the Arab Economic Commission in Cairo

The UAE participated in the meeting of the Economic Committee of the Arab Economic and Social Council held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League at the level of senior officials in order to prepare for the 103 th session of the Economic and Social Council scheduled to be held at the ministerial level next Thursday. Minister of Economy and Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Malik from the Department of Economic Agreements at the Ministry of Economy.
The committee was chaired by Emad bin Tareq al-Ajmi, Director of the Arab and International Organizations at the Supreme Planning Council of the Sultanate of Oman, in the presence of Ambassador Kamal Hassan Ali, Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League for Economic Affairs. The success of the meeting and reaching recommendations and resolutions to support the Arab citizen thanks Iraq for his efforts during presiding over the work of the last session.
Ambassador Kamal Hassan Ali stressed in his speech during the opening session the importance of the meeting in preparation for the next Arab summit next March in Tunis.
He noted the decisions of the Arab Economic Summit held in Beirut last month, stressing that the economy is important for the Arab nation and Arab leaders.
He said that we count on the success of building Arab institutions of economic integration, adding that the inter-interests strengthen the factors of solidarity and solidarity and lay a new brick through the agenda items discussed in the meeting.
The meeting discussed the draft agenda for the 103rd session of the Economic and Social Council and had the report of the Secretary-General on the follow-up to the implementation of the resolutions of the 102nd Session of the Council and the Secretariat activity between the sessions of the Council and the social aspects.
