Wi-Fi is free in the gardens, parks and beaches of Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi’s Urban Planning and Municipalities Department has signed an agreement with Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) to provide free Wi-Fi internet access in the parks, parks and beaches of the municipalities.
The signing of this agreement comes within the framework of the Department’s efforts to support cooperation between it and the semi-governmental institutions in order to contribute to the building and provision of integrated and sustainable communities that will enhance the quality of life in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and motivate residents to benefit from the municipal and recreational facilities of the municipalities.
In accordance with this agreement, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company du will provide high-speed, free wireless access points in the Family Park, Abu Dhabi Corniche, Khalidiya Park, Heritage Park, Capital Park, Tourist Club Park, Masjid Hazza Park and Umm Al Emarat Park.
This agreement is part of achieving the Department’s strategic objectives aimed at enhancing the happiness of the residents and visitors of the Emirate and encouraging them to spend more time outdoors with their friends and family while taking advantage of all the advantages of wireless Internet connectivity.
This new service will enable secure and seamless access to all government sites and applications as well as chat, e-mail and social networking applications by using laptops, smartphones and tablets.
