US Energy Information Administration: US crude inventories rise more than expected

The US Energy Information Administration announced that US crude inventories rose last week as refineries cut production, while gasoline and distillate inventories fell.
It said in a statement today: The consumption of crude refineries fell 361 thousand barrels per day, according to the data, noting the decline in stocks of distillates, which include diesel and heating oil 3.9 million barrels, against expectations of a decline of 2.1 million barrels.
US crude oil imports fell 601,000 barrels per day last week, the administration said in its data.
