Interline agreement between Emirates Airlines and Philippine Airlines

August 17th

Emirates Airlines and Philippine Airlines BEL have expanded their interline agreement, allowing Emirates passengers to access domestic points on the Philippine carrier’s network, via Cebu and Clark, in addition to existing interline arrangements via Manila.
The expanded partnership will cover the three gateways Emirates serves in the Philippines: Manila, Cebu and Clark, allowing passengers to seamlessly connect to more destinations in the country using a single ticket and convenient baggage policy.
Emirates passengers enjoy convenient booking procedures to destinations in the Philippine Airlines network, including Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Caticlan and Puerto Princesa via Cebu, as well as Cebu, Caticlan and Busuanga via Clark.

The agreement allows Philippine Airlines passengers to benefit from booking flights with Emirates Airlines to Oman, Birmingham, Cape Town, Dammam, Dublin, Lisbon, Manchester, Muscat and Riyadh via Dubai. The Philippine national carrier operates daily flights between Manila and Dubai, providing convenient and seamless connectivity to cities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. This arrangement allows passengers to collect their boarding passes and check their baggage until the final destination. Itineraries can be booked online and via mobile phones, or through authorized travel agents.
This expansion comes months after Emirates Airlines and Philippine Airlines announced, for the first time, their joint agreement, which reaffirms the commitment of the two airlines to serve the growing demand, by providing travelers with more options and flexibility, in addition to enriching customer experiences.
It is noteworthy that Emirates Airlines has been serving the Philippines since 1990, and currently operates 25 flights per week to Manila, Cebu and Clark, and it is also the only carrier that offers a first-class product on flights to Manila. It provides its customers with more choice and wide connectivity to destinations outside its own network, through code-sharing agreements with 29 international carriers and interline agreements with 110 other carriers.
