European stocks rise in early trading today

European shares rose today, after being supported by positive investor sentiment after China hinted at plans to stimulate economic growth while chip makers supported the markets thanks to news of strong earnings recorded by its US counterpart.
By 0742 GMT, the European Stoxx 600 was up 0.7% as the highly-traded German DAX outperformed the rest of the market.
The rise in semiconductor companies led activity on the STOXX 600, pushing the technology sector index up 1.2% as AMS, Infineon Tech and STMicroelectronics gained heavily.
