Jordanian exports of clothing, potash and chemicals rose in the first quarter of the year

The value of Jordanian exports of clothing and accessories during the first three months of this year rose by 16.7%, crude potash by 10% and inorganic chemical products by 23%.

According to figures from the Department of Statistics, which shows the volume of foreign trade during the first quarter of this year compared to the same period of 2017, the value of national exports of pharmaceuticals fell by 13.7%, fertilizers by 1% and crude phosphate by 12%.

The imports of crude oil and its derivatives increased by 19.9%, machinery and mechanical equipment by 14.9%, machinery and electrical appliances and their parts by 3.9%, plastics and their products by 7.7%, while the value of imports of vehicles, motorcycles and parts decreased by 21%, iron and articles thereof by 1.2%
