Jordan Jordan Industry exports rise in 8 months

The exports of the Amman Chamber of Industry during the past eight months of this year rose by 8.73%, driven by the increase of exports of six industrial sectors. The Chamber’s exports during the last eight months of this year amounted to 2.276 billion dinars compared to 2.507 billion dinars for the same period last year.
The data showed an increase in the Chamber’s exports to the Iraqi market during the last eight months of this year by 18.86 percent to record 337 million dinars compared to 283 million dinars for the same period last year.
The Chamber’s exports in the last eight months of this year increased to about 16 percent, bringing the country’s most receiving countries to KD 403 million, compared to KD 348 million for the same period last year.
Chamber’s exports to the United States also rose by 8.7 percent to about 339 million dinars in the eight months of this year compared to 311 million dinars for the same period last year.
The Chamber’s exports to Palestine during the last eight months of this year increased 56.55 percent to 176 million dinars compared to 112 million dinars for the same period last year.
The statistical data showed an increase in the Chamber’s exports during the last eight months of this year to many Arab and foreign countries including the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Egypt, Lebanon, Qatar, Turkey, Syria, Libya, Belgium, Spain, Oman and other countries.
On the other hand, the Chamber’s exports in the last eight months of this year fell to 5.13 percent, down to 321 million dinars compared to 339 million dinars for the same period last year.
