The index of Karachi Stock Exchange, the largest stock market in Pakistan, closed today, up 0.51 percent, or 201 points, and closed at 39614 deal.
A total of 89,300990 shares changed hands in 333 transactions, while the market capitalization of 117 companies declined. The shares of 190 companies declined and 26 companies settled.
Chemical stocks, commercial banks and oil and gas companies dominated the positive trading on the exchange.
