Dr. Farouk El-Baz, the Egyptian space scientist at NASA, stressed that the UAE has a distinct experience in the space sector and a developmental role in the Arab region and the world, which makes it able to participate in exploration, and not be satisfied with the role of spectator in the manufacture of scientific events.
He said that the UAE’s initiatives are many in the space sector, and they express the ability of Arabs to participate in the developed world in space exploration and event industry, which confirms its leadership in supporting development and technological progress in the Arab region, as it has proven its leadership through several space projects, including the manufacture of “KhalifaSat”. It was launched by its youth, and was preceded by the launch of other satellites, such as “Dubai Sat 1”, “Dubai Sat 2”, and others.
