Emirates Air Cargo launches new service to Bogota

Emirates Airline has launched a new service to the Colombian capital of Bogota by running one of its Boeing 777 cargo planes on one flight every week from January 16.
The aircraft’s cargo capacity is more than 100 tonnes and its wide doors allow for the possibility of transporting large-scale cargo.
Bogotá will become the 6th Emirates Air Cargo Terminal in South America and the third terminal on the continent. The airline will only serve the cargo. The flight EK 9930 will arrive in Bogota at 10 pm every Wednesday and leave the city at 5:00 local time.
Emirates Air Cargo will work with Avianca in its new service from Bogota, and the Colombian carrier will market the energy available on the Boeing 777 from Bogota to Maastricht. The two sides will work to strengthen the partnership. Its extensive network in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, while the latter will help consolidate Emirates’ presence in the South American market.
Emirates Airline will fly cargo to South America on passenger and cargo flights to and from Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Veracobos and Quito, and will provide customers with a new service to Bogotá and a cargo capacity of 500 tons per week.
Emirates Air Cargo is the world’s largest air cargo carrier and uses the energy provided by its fleet of 274 modern aircraft, including 14 cargo aircraft, “13 Boeing 777-F and 747-F.” In Dubai, Emirates Sky Central Dubai World Central is the cargo handling hub of Emirates Air Cargo. The facility has extensive facilities and multiple refrigerated cargo, including 15,000 square meters of storage facilities for heat sensitive cargo.
