The Pakistani government and the World Bank today signed a $ 100 million financing agreement for the solar power project in Sindh province, southern Pakistan.
The project will support the deployment of solar energy in Sindh across three sectors of the market – utilities, distribution and home use. The solar energy includes 20 megawatts of photovoltaic solar power distributed over rooftops and space available in public sector buildings.
The total cost of the project is $ 105 million, IDA is financing for the World Bank 100 million and the Sindh government is contributing $ 5 million
