On the other hand, gold futures contracts for February delivery 2023 decreased by 0.06%, equivalent to $ 1.1, to reach $ 1920.7 an ounce.
In terms of other precious metals, silver rose by 0.5% to $24.49 an ounce, while platinum fell by 0.17% to $1073.85, and palladium fell 1.44% to $1766.78.
