Gold falls to its lowest level in a week

Gold prices fell to their lowest level this week, boosted by strong Chinese stocks and reduced fears of a global economic slowdown.
Spot gold fell 0.1% to $ 1288.83 an ounce today after touching earlier in the session the lowest level since April 5 at $ 1286.44. Gold futures in the US fell 0.3% to $ 1291.60 an ounce.
