China and Brazil seek to strengthen their trade relations

China and Brazil are seeking to strengthen their trade relationship and cooperation between the two emerging economies.
Chinese President Xi Jeping and his Brazilian counterpart, Jair Bolsonaro, currently visiting Beijing, reiterated the strengthening of trade relations, the need to continue cooperation among emerging economies, as well as to increase China’s trade with Brazil.
“China is ready to import from Brazil more high-quality and high-value-added products that respond to the needs of the Chinese market,” the Chinese president said.
A joint statement between the two sides expressed that the two countries express their hope to develop their exchanges in the field of agricultural products through agreements between the customs and agricultural authorities of the two countries.
