Al-Asoumi: The Abu Dhabi meeting is a qualitative addition to strengthening Arab solidarity

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel Al-Assoumi, praised the fraternal consultative meeting hosted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, and Emir Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein.

Al-Asoumi stressed that this fraternal meeting, which was held under the title “Prosperity and Stability in the Region,” represents a qualitative addition to strengthening Arab cooperation and solidarity in the face of current challenges, and adds great impetus to the mechanisms of joint Arab action at its various levels. Pointing out that this important meeting came at an exceptional time that requires intensifying consultation and coordination mechanisms among Arab leaders in order to strengthen and coordinate joint Arab efforts in dealing with the rapid developments the world is currently experiencing, which have direct repercussions on Arab societies.

He stressed that the outcomes of this fraternal meeting, which discussed many issues of concern to the Arab people, serve to enhance security and stability in the region, in a way that achieves the aspirations of its peoples for a future in which they will enjoy more development, progress and prosperity, and build a more stable and prosperous future.

He expressed the Arab Parliament’s full support for all Arab cooperation efforts at its various collective, multilateral and bilateral levels, as it is an essential axis in strengthening the joint Arab action process.
