Securities & Commodities Authority Launches “Electronic Services System”

The Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Securities and Commodities Authority (ESCA) launched the electronic services system developed by the Authority in the presence of the board members on the sidelines of the Board meeting in Dubai.
The system covers the internal procedures of the Authority and serves all target groups, including brokers, investment funds, investors, financial services companies as well as stock and commodity markets.
A new batch of e-services is being launched in the coming period to cover the work of the Center for Training, Professional Testing and Enforcement, Issuance and Registration, Market Supervision, Supervision and Compliance.
He said that the use of smart applications to enhance the electronic transformation of the services provided by the Authority is at the top of the strategic projects approved by the Board. He explained that the electronic services system of the Authority is based on automating the processes and integrating the procedures related to providing services to the public and customers with the Authority through smart devices. Achieving the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership in developing the electronic infrastructure of various institutions and government entities and supporting the UAE’s tendency to raise its international competitiveness in the field of government services.
He pointed out that the electronic services system came from the strategy and vision of the UAE 2021 and noted that the Authority has accelerated the implementation of the new initiative and provide its services in a creative way to facilitate the customers through the full range of services provided and diversifying channels of delivery, thus contributing to strengthening the leading position in the UAE in terms of development Through the development of an institutional and electronic structure to ensure the sustainability of the provision of current and emerging services efficiently and effectively, and devotes the concept of modern government and keeps pace with the best international practices in this regard.
For his part, the Executive Chairman of the Authority stressed that the electronic services system of the Authority aims to facilitate investors and customers in the financial markets in the country and facilitate and ensure access to services – round the clock – easy procedures, simplified and high efficiency to meet the needs of customers.
He noted that the system contributes to reducing the effort and financial cost, and providing many statistics, data and innovative services, and enhance satisfaction with the services provided by the Commission.
The new electronic services that have been improved and re-engineered according to this system are part of an ambitious program initiated by the Authority. In the first phase, the services were focused on licensing operations. All services are digitally executed and paper transactions completely disappear in line with federal government plans and strategies. Combine multiple actions together to prevent duplication of procedures and allow the use of a single procedure to perform multiple services.
The new system was developed using the AppWorks platform, business process management application tools, digital process automation software and dynamic case management, in collaboration with Xerox ME and OpenTech.
The AppWorks platform enables the efficient retrieval of information from enterprise and business enterprise systems into a single platform, allowing end-users to interact and interact with this information in a way that is understandable to them.
Plans are under way to establish an electronic link with the Ministry of Economy and Economic Development Departments in all emirates of the UAE, the Federal Authority for Identity and Nationality, Al Ittihad for Credit Information and others to obtain the necessary information for the issuance of licenses as quickly and efficiently as possible.
