The National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), the executive arm of the Ministry of Economy and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), is participating as a strategic partner at the Ras Al Khaimah International Exhibition for SMEs, which will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. 14 to 16 November.
The exhibition, which is being implemented by the Saud bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Enterprise Development, with the support of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is accompanied by the holding of the second session of the Ras Al Khaimah Forum for SMEs, the organization of seminars and awareness sessions targeting the SME sector, and competitions for emerging and innovative projects in cooperation with major project evaluation companies. HE Yousef Mohammed Ismail, Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Saud bin Saqr Foundation for Youth Enterprise Development, said that trade fairs, especially international ones, are in line with the government’s vision to develop local and international trade exchange, gain experience and develop trade partnerships, which will enhance the growth opportunities of the SME sector locally.
For his part, Dr. Adeeb Al-Afifi, Director of the National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises, said that the exhibition represents an opportunity for young SMEs to identify investment and commercial opportunities in various sectors, adding that the ministry’s participation in this pioneering event comes from its efforts in supporting and developing Empowering the SME sector in the country, enhancing its contribution to the growth of the economy, and creating effective channels of communication between entrepreneurs and participating exhibitors and local and international suppliers and suppliers.
He explained that the exhibition provides a vital platform for entrepreneurs in the country to promote their products and services at the local and international levels, and to inform the target authorities and markets, including local and federal government agencies, institutions and leading companies and exhibitors from outside the State on their services and products and to make deals and build new partnerships, which promotes their commercial growth. In addition, it provides an important opportunity to exchange ideas and learn about best practices through seminars and awareness in collaboration with a group of leading start-up and innovative project evaluation companies.
More than 200 exhibitors from more than 20 countries will participate in the exhibition, covering various economic activities, including trade and tourism services, energy solutions, IT services, innovation, logistics, financial sector, economic zones, food, fashion and other diverse service activities.
