French Development Agency: We trust the Egyptian economy after the recent economic reforms and support new development projects in Egypt

During her visit to the French capital Paris to meet with the OECD Conference on Private Investment for Sustainable Development, Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Philippe Baudon, Executive Vice President of the French Agency for Development, The role of the private sector in development.
The two sides discussed the future vision of Egyptian-French development cooperation and the expected areas of cooperation in the coming period, such as small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship.

Philippe Bodon stressed the Agency’s keenness to support Egypt’s economic program during the coming period, in the light of France’s confidence in the Egyptian economy and economic and legislative reforms especially in the field of business and investment, which stimulates the Agency to finance and support the establishment of new development projects in Egypt. He said that the Agency has contributed to support projects in Egypt worth 2 billion euros, the third line of the Cairo tunnels (phases two and three), the financing of small and micro projects, the delivery of natural gas to homes and the support of small enterprises (Phase I and II), the construction of a 26 megawatt photovoltaic plant at Kom Ombo in Aswan, and the contribution to the construction of the Gulf of Suez wind station and the primary health care support project.
