Today’s Pakistani newspapers highlighted the visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Turkey to show solidarity with the Turkish people and to interact with the Pakistani search and rescue teams deployed in the earthquake-affected areas.
It reported that Pakistan sent another batch of relief materials to Syria to support those affected by the earthquake.
It highlighted the tough decisions taken by the Pakistani government to address the economic situation and restart the International Monetary Fund programme.
And touched on the intensification of the Pakistani security services in the pursuit of terrorist cells to control the wave of internal terrorism.
I came across the killing of eight militants as a result of fierce clashes that took place between two armed groups of the outlawed Taliban in Pakistan.
Islamabad newspapers dealt with the United Nations’ call to raise one billion dollars to help those affected by the earthquake in Turkey, and the death toll from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria rose to more than 42,000.
