This is a violation of the Commercial Fraud and Trademark Regulations, which carries penalties of up to three years’ imprisonment, fines amounting to 1 million riyals, Their countries and suspension and prevention of commercial activity. The ministry stressed the non-leniency in applying the legal sanctions on distributors of counterfeit and fraudulent goods through social networking sites and websites. It calls on all consumers to cooperate and report violators through the Communications Center on 1900, the application of a commercial notice and the Ministry’s website.
