Ras Al Khaimah Economic Initiative concluded its 2018 initiative, which was launched by the Department of Control and Trade Protection at the beginning of 2017. In this initiative, the Department held meetings with consumers and investors to receive their comments and to listen to their complaints to provide advice and advice.
The total number of participants in this initiative was 2018 (83) participants from consumers and investors. Management officials met with them and listened to a number of observations including the request to intensify the awareness campaigns through video clips directed to consumers through social networking sites and to provide workshops for school students In the remote areas of the emirate, as well as sending messages of awareness to consumers through television channels. The participants expressed their gratitude to the Department to benefit from extending the renewal period of the license from 30 to 90 days of this year.
Fatima Al Suwaidi, Director of Commercial Protection, said that the best thing for consumers and investors is to meet directly with the officials, because these meetings are characterized by an open dialogue and receive responses to their questions and inquiries with transparency and credibility by the department’s officials. Participants, the Department plans to continue the initiative for 2019, and welcomes the Department of all consumer proposals on the website or to submit consumer complaints on the website of the protection of trade and to provide inquiries and observations through the service Watsp.
