His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, may God protect him, in his capacity as Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, issued Law No. (20) of 2022 amending some provisions of Law No. (10) of 1997 regarding the decorations, badges and insignia of the Dubai Police Force.
The law stipulated replacing the texts of Articles (5) and (9) of Law No. (10) of 1997, with two new texts related to determining decorations, badges and insignia, and their layers.
In its new text, Article (5) divided the medals into several categories: the Order of Valor (one layer), the Dubai Police Medal (five layers), the Loyal Service Medal (two layers), and the Dubai Police Golden Jubilee Medal (one layer). of gold, and the Expo 2020 Dubai Medal (one-tier) and be of gold.
The medals were also divided into categories: Excellent Service Medal (two layers), Security Cooperation Medal (two layers), and any other medal determined by the Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai. With regard to badges, they were divided into a badge of appreciation (two layers), and any other badge. To be determined by the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.
