The Jordanian Income and Sales Tax Department extended the period of exemption from fines until the end of the current month, and invited the taxpayers to visit their directorates and affiliated centers to benefit from the decision.
She noted that any taxpayer or sales tax payer could be reimbursed and 100 percent exempted from fines, and taxpayers with only fines could pay 25 percent of the fines and exemption from the remaining 75 percent.
The department called on the department to review the department during the current days and not to delay until the end of the date of exemption, noting that the rate of exemption will decrease during the months of February and March to become 50 percent.
This came against the background of the decision of the Jordanian cabinet to amend the date of the expiration of the deadline for exempting the taxpayers from fines by 100 percent in the case of payment of income tax or sales tax taxes and exempting the taxpayers who have already paid their tax balances. 500 thousand dinars, 75% of the value of fines if they make payment before the end of the work on 31 January 2019.
