Sharjah, represented by the FDI / Invest in Sharjah / Sharjah Investment and Development Authority / Shurooq, hosts the fifth edition of the Sharjah FDI Forum under the patronage of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on November 11 and 12. The forum is organized under the slogan ‘Future shifts in foreign direct investment’ to monitor the views of a group of specialists and experts and the drivers of these shifts and their results on the regional and global economies and to work to conceptualize the role of investors in determining the geographic and sectoral investment trends to serve sustainable and inclusive growth.
The idea of organizing a regional forum for foreign direct investment came as a translation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, that the relationship between the foreign investor and the local economy should be a partnership based on transferring and exchanging successful experiences, investors’ understanding of the region’s markets and their development needs and their awareness of the culture.
