Jafza reviews the opportunities and services of the food and beverage trade sector

Jebel Ali Free Zone discussed with customers from food and beverage companies how to develop strategies that will help the sector achieve growth and explore opportunities and challenges for the next few years.
Abdullah Bin Damithan, Executive Director, Commercial Affairs, DP World, UAE, delivered a speech during which he reviewed the opportunities that Dubai can offer for food and beverage trade.
Ahmed Al Haddad, Chief Operating Officer, Jafza, gave a detailed presentation on the latest services offered by the Free Zone and how it can benefit the food and beverage sector.
Mohammed Al Muallem, Managing Director and General Manager of DP World, UAE, expects food consumption in the GCC to grow at a CAGR of 4.2 per cent to 59.2 million metric tons in 2021. In addition to the steady increase in consumption rates, Dubai is an ideal destination For major players in the food and beverage sector who are looking to take advantage of re-export opportunities to the GCC markets.
He emphasized Jafza’s commitment to support the food and beverage sector through its superior services that provide customized solutions that enable companies to take advantage of the favorable opportunities and provide the infrastructure needed to meet the growing consumer demand in the era of dedicated logistics services.
The food and beverage sector is a major part of Jafza, with more than 460 companies from 66 countries registered in the free zone, including leading companies such as March, Unilever, Nestlé and other companies that collectively employ more than 5 Thousands of people.
The meeting was attended by senior managers from DP World and Jafza as well as executives from major food and beverage companies.
