Department of Energy reviews infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi at World Energy Conference

The Department of Energy in Abu Dhabi, the host sponsor of the 24th World Energy Conference, has announced the details of its participation in this global event which will be held under the slogan “Energy for Prosperity” from 9-12 September in Abu Dhabi.
Through this global event, DED aims to continue to establish Abu Dhabi as the capital of the global energy sector as one of the most influential players.
The Chairman of the Department will participate in the opening session of the conference, which will be organized under the title “New Visions of Energy: Success in the Rapid Transformations” along with a group of industry leaders globally to discuss ways of global partnership to achieve the principles of transformation in the energy sector. In a panel discussion titled “Market Design: Enabling Transformation in the Energy Sector”, the department discusses the availability of competitive renewable energy technologies and examines market design mechanisms to optimize transformation processes.
Located in Hall 5, A10 and extends over an area of ​​360 square meters, DED’s pavilion will showcase the achievements of the DED in various fields, ranging from large infrastructure projects in the areas of water, electricity and renewable energy in various locations in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and the laws and regulations adopted by it. The Department recently reviewed the quality and efficiency of the sector, introducing the demand-side management and energy efficiency projects in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as well as reviewing the additional scenarios adopted within the Abu Dhabi Integrated Energy Model, which was launched earlier this year to cover Glossy aspects relating to the production, distribution and consumption of energy, and allows to achieve the highest levels of harmony and integration between all institutions and partners in the energy sector and to identify the roles and responsibilities clearly.
The global event is a unique platform to showcase the realities and investment opportunities of Abu Dhabi’s energy sector, while the Department has dedicated a special pavilion, Capital Suite 1, as a platform for meetings, panel discussions and briefings with the Department’s spokespersons.
