Dubai signs new global milestone in reducing water losses

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has achieved a new world record in water losses, with the world’s lowest 6.6 per cent, up to 15 per cent in North America.

He pointed out that this achievement comes shortly after the announcement of the results of the World Bank’s Doing Business 2019 report. The UAE, represented by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), was ranked first in the world for electricity, according to the report, which measures the ease of doing business in 190 Economy around the world and a complete mark on all axis indicators.
Al Tayer pointed out that the Authority continues its efforts in rehabilitating the Dubai water network completely by replacing the old connections and meters and developing the transmission and distribution networks according to the highest international standards. The Commission introduced SCADA system to monitor the water network, enabling optimal operation and efficiency of the network, Works to scan transmission and distribution networks to avoid leakage into fractions.
