Malian president praises friendship and cooperation with UAE

The President of the Republic of Mali, Ibrahim Abu Bakr Keita, hailed the friendly relations and cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and his country, which enjoys the support and common interest to promote them to all areas.
During his meeting with HE Hussein Jassim Al Nowais, Chairman of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development in Bamako, he expressed his appreciation and thanks to the wise leadership represented by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and expressed his interest and support for the cooperation relations between the two sides. He praised the directives of HH the Amir regarding the signing of an agreement between the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and the Republic of Mali represented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. This came during a visit to the Republic of Mali last week by Hussein Jassim al-Nuwais to discuss ways to activate and implement the agreement to support and promote entrepreneurship and development of micro, small and medium enterprises in Mali signed by the Khalifa Fund with the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Mali last month.
His Excellency said that his country and the United Arab Emirates have close ties of friendship and cooperation that have been rooted for years, recalling the historic visit of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to the Republic of Mali for nearly 30 years.
The Minister of Economy, Finance and other concerned authorities in the Republic of Mali called for accelerating all necessary procedures for the implementation of the agreement with the Khalifa Fund, stressing that the agreement will have an effective impact on promoting sustainable development and contributing to the promotion of economic diversification.
Last month, the Khalifa Fund signed an agreement with the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Mali worth 25 million dollars to support micro, small and medium enterprises in the Republic of Mali as part of the UAE’s efforts to support development efforts in a number of brotherly and friendly countries.
