The Sheikh Zayed Housing Program of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure approved the first batch of loan beneficiaries within the housing policy for the year 2023, which includes 550 housing decisions that vary between government housing and housing financing from national banks at a value of 435 million and 750 thousand dirhams, bringing the total announced Decisions Since the development of the new housing policy last May, to date, 4079 housing decisions have been issued.
Eng. Mohamed Al Mansouri, Director of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, confirmed that the announcement of the first installment comes within the framework of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure’s continuous endeavor to implement the directives of the wise leadership to enhance the elements of a decent life for citizens, through the new policy that requires financing the value of housing loans through cooperation between Sheikh Zayed Housing Program and between banks and national banks.
He explained that the program continues its unremitting efforts to anticipate the future of government housing in the country, and to search for solutions and future housing needs in cooperation with the concerned authorities in the government sector (federal and local) and the private sector, through initiatives, plans and facilities that achieve family stability, and ensure the provision of decent life for citizens.
Al-Mansoori said that the government housing sector is witnessing continuous momentum thanks to the directives of the wise leadership and its unlimited support for this vital file, which witnessed during the past months many initiatives, decisions, future plans and qualitative partnerships, including initiatives related to loans related to the citizen housing program, and other government directions that It contributed to enhancing efforts to provide a decent life and adequate housing for citizens, and to improve their quality of life.
He pointed out the importance of the citizens’ housing file, which comes at the forefront of the state’s priorities, and enjoys special follow-up from the wise leadership.
The Director of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program added that the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program issued six batches of housing assistance decisions during the year 2022, as the total of what was issued and announced since the adoption of the new housing policy last May until the end of last year reached 3529 decisions worth 2.819 billion dirhams. , bringing the percentage of adherence to the announced plan to more than 99%.
Al Mansouri pointed out that the new policy for government housing loans aims to provide financing for housing loans in partnership between the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program with the private sector and national banks and banks, and through a plan for the five years 2022-2026 at a cost of 11.5 billion dirhams, to include 13 thousand housing decisions, in order to meet for the future needs of the country’s citizens.
