Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) announced its decision to establish SABIC Agricultural Nutrient Investments, a new company in which its shares and contributions are concentrated in several companies specializing in the production of various agro-nutrient packages.
The company list includes Jubail Fertilizers (Al Biruni), National Chemical Fertilizers (Ibn Al Bitar), Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), Ma’aden Phosphate Company and Ma’aden North Phosphate Company.
SABIC currently has a diverse stake in a number of companies that manufacture a wide range of fertilizers such as urea, compound fertilizers and phosphates. It owns 50% of the shares of Al-Biruni, 50% of Ibn Al-Bitar, 33 33% of GPIC, 30% of Ma’aden Phosphate, 15% of Ma’aden and North of Phosphate. SABIC owns 43% of SAFCO, making it a major contributor to the Company. Company.
