Abu Dhabi Health: Providing 5,000 new job opportunities for citizens in the healthcare sector

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, the regulatory body for the health care sector in the emirate, has set Emiratisation targets in all health care facilities operating in the emirate to provide 5,000 new job opportunities for national cadres until the end of the year 2025, calling on all health facilities in the emirate to work to achieve Emiratisation goals through Retaining and increasing Emiratization rates within its health and administrative cadres.

The department indicated that it is working closely with health care providers in the emirate to raise Emiratisation rates in medical professions that include doctors, nursing cadres and allied health professions, as well as in administrative cadres that include the sectors of information technology, human resources, accounting and finance, legal affairs and others. This comes in line with the department’s efforts to provide the health care sector with national talents to achieve the Emiratisation agenda for the health workforce and ensure its sustainability.

Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, said: “Pursuant to the directives of our wise leadership, the Emiratization target has been implemented in healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi, out of our keenness to enable national competencies to contribute to the healthcare system in a way that enhances its outputs and establishes a competitive knowledge-based economy in the emirate. It comes This is in line with the efforts of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi to support Emiratisation initiatives in the health sector in order to retain qualified and flexible national medical cadres, and thus consolidate Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading destination for healthcare globally.

The department will provide support to all facilities to achieve the target and benefit from the “Nafes” initiative and its platform to identify citizens looking for work in the field of health care.

For his part, Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary General of the UAE Competitiveness Council, praised the efforts made by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi to raise Emiratisation rates in the emirate and follow up on facilities to achieve Emiratisation goals in the health sector in accordance with the decisions issued in this regard, in a way that enhances the provision of a supportive and supportive work environment. For citizens of the country, especially those working in the field of health care, in a way that qualifies them and enables them to occupy jobs in this vital and important sector.

In this context, His Excellency praised the cooperation shown by various agencies in the country to provide means of success and support the programs and initiatives of “Nafes” in order to raise the competitiveness of Emirati cadres, and to achieve a quantum leap in the development path in various fields and sectors in the country, in order to achieve the goals of the program and to achieve the vision And the aspirations of the wise leadership to consolidate and unify efforts to support and adopt national talents, qualify Emirati cadres, raise their competitiveness, and increase their presence within the workforce in the private sector.

It is worth noting that the “Nafes” program is the federal government program to raise the competitiveness of national cadres and enable them to occupy jobs in private sector institutions in the country within five years. The program includes several initiatives and programs, including the “Development of Medical and Health Sector Cadres” program, which offers educational scholarships to citizens to enable them to obtain the qualifications required to work in the health care sector. It also includes a “Nafes platform” to enable establishments to offer employment and training opportunities and benefit from the support programs available to establishments, job seekers, workers and trainees in the private sector, and students enrolled in the “Medical and Health Sector Cadres Development” program.
