Khalifa Fund signs $ 25 million SME support agreement with Niger

The President of the Republic of the Niger, Essof Mamdou, hailed the friendly relations and cooperation between his country and the UAE, and the support and mutual interest it enjoys in promoting them to all fields.
During his meeting with Mr. Hussein Jassim Al Nowais, Chairman of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development in Niamey, he expressed his appreciation and thanks to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
This comes on the occasion of the signing of the Khalifa Fund for the development of projects agreement to support and promote entrepreneurship and the development of micro, small and medium enterprises in the Republic of Niger, under which the Fund provides funding of 25 million US dollars / equivalent to 92 million dirhams / disbursed in batches.
The agreement was signed by Hussein Jassim Al-Nowais and Minister of Trade and Private Sector Development of Niger.
The President of the Republic of Niger said that the Convention would have an effective impact to promote sustainable development and contribute to the promotion of economic diversification, which is the most important requirements of economic stability in his country.
For his part, Hussein Jassim Al Nowais, Chairman of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the President of Niger and his wishes for progress and prosperity.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development to transfer his successful experience in supporting entrepreneurship and developing the SME sector in a number of brotherly and friendly countries, including the Republic of Niger.
Al-Nowais said that the funding provided by the Khalifa Fund aims to support the Niger government’s efforts to achieve economic development by strengthening the SME sector and spreading entrepreneurship culture among young people, stressing that the agreement will provide an opportunity for creative young people and skills and craftsmen to exploit their skills and innovations Income that enhances their social welfare and supports the economic performance of the State.
