NAS has signed an agreement with CFM International, the leading supplier of commercial aircraft engines, to purchase LEAP-1A engines. The agreement was signed in France in conjunction with the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister. Minister of Defense to Paris.
The agreement between the two parties amounts to 6.3 billion dollars (23.6 billion Saudi riyals), and provides that CFM International will supply LEAP-1A aircraft to the new A320 aircraft fleet scheduled for arrival Starting in 2018, as well as a long-term maintenance and service agreement for the A320 fleet with CFM.
