Fujairah Chamber discusses economic cooperation with Bangladesh

The Chairman of Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Saeed Sorour Saif Al Sharqi, received here today Qamar Al Hassan Mohammed Abdul Rahim, Commercial Advisor at the Consulate General of the Republic of Bangladesh in the UAE.
The two sides reviewed the importance of developing economic relations and strengthening cooperation between businessmen and the private sector and possible means to develop joint investments between the two countries.
Al Sharqi stressed that the UAE’s strategy stems from the need to build mutual and mutually beneficial relations and open the way for increasing trade exchange and visits between business owners in the UAE and Bangladesh and to participate in exhibitions and forums held in each.
Al-Sharqi stressed the importance of exchanging visits between business owners to get acquainted with the economic developments and available investment fields, noting the importance of participating in economic exhibitions and conferences held in both countries.
For his part, Sultan Obaid Al-Hindasi explained that there are many areas of joint cooperation between business owners in both countries, stressing that the Emirate of Fujairah has many investment opportunities and the chamber can cooperate with investors in the Republic of Bangladesh and provide the necessary economic information to them. Pointing out the volume of trade exchange between the Emirate of Fujairah and the Republic of Bangladesh amounted to more than 86 million dirhams during 2018, while the Fujairah Chamber issued more than 496 trade and professional licenses to investors from Bangladesh.
The meeting was attended by Sultan Al-Hindasi, Director General of the Chamber, and Tariq Al-Hinai, Board Member.
