In addition to seminars and workshops.

During the first three weeks of March, the Abu Dhabi Festival will present its extensive main program of events, which includes many live performances and musical events with audience participation, while local community events and other international performances will continue throughout the year.

During the press conference, which was held at the Emirates Palace Hotel, in the presence of a group of dignitaries and elite creators, artists and intellectuals from around the world, His Excellency Adnan Al-Awadi, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, joined the list of speakers, in addition to presenting recorded messages. His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan delivered the speech of Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Patron of the Abu Dhabi Festival, and said, “The Abu Dhabi Festival is being held in its 2023 session, crowning the twenty-year march of cultural and humanitarian giving, and the continuous innovative effort, in order to support the march of Development and evolution, in translation of the directives of the wise leadership to empower the culture, arts and creative industries sector, and to enhance its contribution to the diversified economy of the UAE, out of its belief in the importance of culture, arts and cultural industries in sustainability and well-being.

He added, “The festival sets out towards a new decade of excellence in community development and the sustainability of the nation’s renaissance, by attracting creators and senior men of thought, and investing in youth, in pursuit of a new dawn of creative renewable thought, in the context of a modernity that does not deviate from our originality and identity, but rather adds to it.”

He said, “We meet in the midst of announcing the activities of the Abu Dhabi Festival 2023 today, and I convey to you from this rostrum the greetings of its patron, Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan. The reality of the UAE’s solid position in the heart of the regional and global creativity scene, and declaring its slogan “The will to develop, the yearning for leadership,” illuminating a new phase of joint action based on cooperation and solidarity between cultural entities and institutions in the UAE and the world.

His Excellency added, “It is necessary to point out the significant and pivotal role played by the Abu Dhabi Festival in stimulating the country’s cultural diplomacy efforts and building bridges of dialogue between cultures, working to enhance the Emirati presence internationally, and the UAE’s leadership in all fields.” He added, “I address all the festival’s supporters and partners, With warmest wishes for success in their efforts to present a session that promises a lot of achievement, and reflects the great ambition that characterized the Abu Dhabi Festival throughout its two decades of history.

Her Excellency Hoda Ibrahim Al-Khamis said, in her opening speech, “Under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him,” we are continuing our path today, with the thought of His Highness, who said, “Our pride and pride in the Emirati man has no limits, as this dear people has proven, before Al-Ittihad and after him, and in all the difficult stages that we went through, his originality, toughness, strong will and ability to overcome challenges.
