Additional humanitarian aid to Sudan from the European Union with 30 million euros

The High Representative for Foreign and Security Affairs and Vice President of the European Union, Josep Borrell, who arrived in North Darfur today at the head of a high-level delegation of European advisors and ambassadors of the European Union, confirmed that the situation in the region is better than before.
Borrell announced after his meeting with international organizations and a visit to the Zamzam camp for the displaced, which includes 125 thousand displaced people, adding 30 million euros of additional humanitarian aid to Sudan, stressing that the European Union will continue to provide humanitarian assistance so that people live a normal life and find just solutions for the future, and to continue the Sudanese army, police and UNAMID, Providing security and protecting civilians, stressing the importance of protecting the internally displaced.
The European Union provides humanitarian assistance to people displaced by conflict in Darfur through international and European organizations and United Nations agencies in the areas of food, health, drinking water, education and civil protection.
