The airports of the Sultanate of Oman recorded a remarkable increase in the number of arrivals by 133%

Muscat, March 4 / The number of incoming and outgoing international flights through the airports of Muscat, Salalah and Sohar increased by a growth rate of 128%, to reach 65,220 flights by the end of December 2022, compared to 28,580 flights during the same period in 2021, according to statistics. The principle issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information in the Sultanate.

The Oman News Agency stated that the number of arrivals through the airports of the Sultanate of Oman recorded a significant increase by 133%, and the number of departures increased by 109% until the end of last December compared to the same period in 2021 AD, as the total number of arriving, departing and “transiting” passengers at the airports of Muscat and Salalah reached Sohar and Duqm carried 9,876,762 passengers until the end of December 2022.

Passengers of Indian nationality were the most used to Muscat International Airport on departing and arriving flights through the airport, with a total of 147,032 passengers by the end of December 2022, followed by Bangladeshi nationality, with a total of 53,130 passengers, and Pakistani nationality, with a total of 39,853 passengers.
