A delegation from the Federal Customs Authority, headed by Mohammed Jumaa Busaiba, Director General of the Authority, visited the headquarters of the Chinese company Newctec of Tsinghua University, which specializes in manufacturing security screening products and providing security solutions for the latest products of customs inspection devices and security solutions for inspection of wooden vessels.
He said that the visit comes within the framework of the Authority’s keenness to strengthen customs control at the border ports and to provide these ports with the latest equipment and radiation testing techniques, enhance its inspection capabilities to meet the increasing customs challenges and enable it to manage the border customs administration coordinated, 2017 to achieve this goal on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
He added that the visit aimed to learn about the latest technology in the field of radiation testing, discovery of dual-use materials, hazardous materials, rapid and immediate analysis of the goods and proposed solutions for inspection of wooden vessels.
During the visit, the UAE delegation was briefed on the latest products of the company, including three-dimensional bags, luggage detectors and three-dimensional goods. These devices can be used within 4 seconds to reveal the contents of bags, luggage and goods through three-dimensional images. Its presence to draw the attention of the customs inspector directly.
