Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri visited the Kingdom’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai in an official delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They were received by the Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director Office of the Expo 2020 Dubai Rim Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi.
The delegation was briefed on the latest developments and the work progress in Expo and during the visit was received the official website of the Kingdom Pavilion Expo 2020 Dubai. On this occasion, HE the Minister of Economy and Planning thanked the UAE for the importance and prestige accorded to the Kingdom by granting an exceptional position at the Expo 2020 to confirm the strength of the relationship between the two countries and the two peoples. The pavilion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Expo 2020 is the second largest pavilion after the UAE pavilion United Arab Emirates.
He expressed his happiness at the participation of the Kingdom in this important international event, stressing that participation in Expo 2020 is based on the commitment of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to move forward to consolidate its position on the regional and global map in the light of the vision of the Kingdom 2030 and its operational programs.
Expo 2020 Dubai is the first international expo event to be held in Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. It will be a celebration of human creativity under the theme “Connect minds and make the future” focusing on the three sub-themes: opportunities, mobility and sustainability. Expo 2020 Dubai is expected to be the largest expo in history in terms of visitors from around the world, with 70% of its visitors expected to be from outside the UAE to attend. With more than 200 participants from countries, international organizations and international companies.
