9 Million Riyals Date subsidies for small farmers in Saudi Arabia

The Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Al-Ahsa Saudi Arabia, Eng. Khalid bin Saad Al-Husseini, announced the beginning of disbursement of the date subsidy for small farmers entitled to subsidy for the year 1438H, starting on Sunday 17/10/1439 H, in accordance with the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (332) 19/11 / 1432H, which provides a subsidy for small farmers who use modern irrigation methods for water and have 300 palm trees or less and an area of ​​50 dunums. Al-Husseini pointed out that the amount of (9,386,675) riyals has been deposited for the farmers of the dates of the governorate and the abandonment of its 2446 farmers. He called on the farmers to follow the modern irrigation methods for the water to take advantage of this subsidy and also increase the price of supplying dates to the date plant in Al-Ahsa to Five riyals per kg for those who follow the rationalization methods, compared to three riyals per kilogram for those who follow traditional methods of irrigation.
