The most prominent provisions of the maritime border demarcation agreement between Lebanon and Israel

Yesterday, Wednesday, Lebanese and Israeli media circulated the text of the maritime border demarcation agreement between the two perpetrators, which was announced on Tuesday.

The text of the agreement shows the final version sent by the American envoy, Amos Hochstein to Lebanon and Israel on October 10, in which he requests “not to publish the content without permission.” Among the most prominent clauses of the agreement: The two parties agree that the relevant legal person that enjoys any Lebanese rights to explore and develop hydrocarbon resources in the Lebanese Block No. 9, should be a reputable, international company or companies, not subject to international sanctions, and not impede the process Continuous facilitation by the United States, and not be Israeli or Lebanese companies.
