“Expo 2020 Dubai” has offered construction contracts worth AED 10.8 billion since the beginning of 2017

The Office of Expo 2020 Dubai has offered AED 10.8 billion worth of construction contracts worth AED 10.8 billion, excluding non-construction contracts worth AED 411 million, since the beginning of this year, confirming that it will reach the goal of completing 11 billion construction contracts After the award of urban planning and construction contracts, which will be completed early next year.

The contracts will be among a number of other opportunities offered by the Expo 2020 Dubai in 2018 as it moves on to the next phase of its work, which focuses on operating expenses, explaining that other sectors that will provide opportunities for contracts and purchases next year for companies from all sizes, including design, logistics, health and safety, construction and building materials. The number of contracts and their total value will be announced in the coming months.

This came during the recent Expo 2020 Dubai Procurement and Contracting Conference, which was attended by 300 companies that recognized the progress of the exhibition and had the opportunity to meet with the Procurement and Contracting team at Expo during the latest in a series of buyers’ events.

“The year 2017 was important in the march to Expo 2020 Dubai, and we look forward to continuing our progress according to a systematic plan of action in 2018, which will see new opportunities open,” said Manal Al Bayat, Senior Vice President, Business Development,  Expo 2020 Dubai for businesses in the UAE and the wider region. ”
