UMEX and SimTEX 2024 exhibitions

The first day of the UMEX and SimTEX 2024 exhibitions witnessed a review of the latest innovations, techniques and advanced technology in the field of unmanned systems, simulation and training, and the establishment of many strategic partnerships that establish a new phase in cooperation between the various sectors that use unmanned systems applications. This edition witnessed an increase in the total capacity of the two exhibitions to reach 30,000 square meters compared to the previous session, which had an area of 26,200 square metres. The UAE pavilion was one of the largest participating national pavilions with an area of up to 5,200 square metres, followed by the Chinese pavilion and the United States pavilion. Visitors and participants in the two exhibitions interacted greatly with the new initiatives presented by this edition, including the programming challenge competition, which is organized in joint cooperation between the Ministry of Defense and the ADNEC Group, the UMEX commercial platform, and the live land and sea shows that were held for the first time in the grand platform and the water canal affiliated with the ADNEC Group, and the “UMEX Award.” NextGen Innovation” and a program of daily dialogue sessions for the commercial sector with the participation of speakers from leading companies in the unmanned systems sector. On the sidelines of the two exhibitions, the “Programming Challenge” competition was launched, organized by the Ministry of Defense in cooperation with the ADNEC Group, which attracted specialized national competencies and minds who possess talent in the field of programming. Through two programming tracks, it allows UAE citizens to participate and showcase their skills and innovations in the field of software development and planning drone operations. A pilot in an interactive and competitive atmosphere to present the latest software matrices and industry techniques to win this challenge. The UMEX commercial platform in Hall 6 of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center provided an opportunity for national companies in the civil and military sectors to showcase their latest commercial products in the unmanned systems sector, training and simulation, with a focus on the enormous potential of the global independent commercial sector, where companies in various industries are adopting UV solutions to enhance Efficiency, reducing costs and enhancing quality and safety. The UMEX commercial platform reflects the role of the UMEX and SimTEX exhibitions as a global center for the latest developments in unmanned systems and the dynamic and interactive experiences they provide to all visitors and participants, who in turn were keen to visit the pavilions of national companies and learn about the services and applications these companies provide in the unmanned systems, simulation and training sector. The UMEX NextGen Innovation Award brought together startups with industry leaders and potential investors, as more than 20 startups from 7 countries participated and presented their advanced and innovative solutions, some of which were being presented for the first time, while international startups such as Volarius, AirSix Systems, and Strad showcased I, UEV Tech Private Limited, ER Engineering and many other companies presented their innovations to investors and users and discussed with them opportunities for cooperation and partnership. National and international companies participating in the two exhibitions presented live land and sea demonstrations of unmanned systems and vehicles. Among these companies are Edge Group, Al Marakeb Technology, IM Technology Robotized, U-Go Import, and Milrem Robotics. During the land shows, the companies presented real scenarios for unmanned vehicles. Applications were made on the grand platform at ADNEC, with which visitors and participants interacted greatly. During the sea shows, visitors moved to the water canal belonging to the ADNEC Group. To see the potential of unmanned maritime systems that shape the future in both the military and civilian sectors.
