Emirati companies build the Uzbek dome incubating the “Musaf Othman” advisor to the President of Uzbekistan:

A tribute to the efforts of the UAE in preserving human and historical heritage

Shazim Manaurov, State Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Head of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, revealed that the new Uzbek dome that adorns the Center of Islamic Civilization, the largest comprehensive Islamic center in the Central Asian region, is being built with Emirati raw materials, in agreement with companies from the UAE.

He stressed that the ornate dome, which bears the Islamic Uzbek character, will house the original copy of the Holy Qur’an, “The Qur’an of Othman bin Affan”, which is preserved in the complex of Hazrat Imam in Tashkent.

Shaazim Manaurov briefed the WAM delegate on the details and preparations for the establishment of the first Islamic center that includes more than 100,000 historical manuscripts for the most important scholars of Islamic history, most notably Imam al-Bukhari, Imam al-Tirmidhi, Imam al-Maturidi, Ibn Sina, al-Khwarizmi, al-Naqshbandi, and others, who were born and raised in Transoxiana, Central Central Asia.

In his dialogue, he valued the UAE’s efforts to preserve human and historical heritage by establishing modern technological centers inside and outside the Emirates in many Islamic countries, as well as the mutual visits of delegations of the two countries in the common humanitarian and cultural fields, stressing that the center aims to transmit the correct teachings of the Islamic religion, and the concepts of Peaceful coexistence to future generations, transmitting the correct image of the Islamic religion, teaching the Arabic language and the Noble Qur’an, as well as working to purchase and retrieve heritage religious manuscripts.

He explained that the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan is the largest museum for the protection and scrutiny of Islamic and human heritage in the Central Asian region. International cooperation, such as the International Cooperation Organization, dedicating a section for craftsmen and designers, and a cultural library that chronicles the entire region, in addition to digitization, preservation and digital archiving of original manuscripts.

Shazim Manaurov pointed out that the eighth and twelfth centuries were among the golden centuries of the Islamic world, or as it was known as the Islamic Renaissance, and the emergence of venerable scholars in the area beyond the river, before the Mongols and Tatars entered it, stressing that studies indicate that the region lived in more than 1,000 scholars, mainly in the Bukhara and Termez regions, in Uzbekistan.

The Qur’an of Othman, whose writing dates back to the eighth century AD, will be transferred from the presence of the Imam to the center of Islamic civilization under the ornate Uzbek dome, which is 56 meters high, 32 meters in diameter, and decorated with 99 names that are the names of God, along with 30 copies of the oldest copies of the Qur’an. The Qur’an in human history, which includes the Emir Timur scrolls, a center for religious research and the packaging of ancient volumes, which will be translated into several languages, a school of Arabic calligraphy, as well as East and West publications, and also includes the headquarters of the International Uzbek Academy and the Religious Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
