Negotiations to merge the world’s largest retail store with astronomical value

MediaIn – Agencies 29/04/2018

Negotiations between the world’s two largest retail stores, J. Sainsbury and Wal-Mart Asda, have reached an advanced stage to merge into a deal worth 10 billion pounds sterling, equivalent to 13 billion and 829 million dollars.

Sky News has revealed negotiations for the merger of the two companies, where the final deal will be announced early on Monday, or before that date, if both parties had to legislate the disclosure of details of the deal to the public.

The merger will be a strong competitor to Tesco, the dominant market in the UK, and will help the two integrated companies invest in offering more products to consumers at competitive prices.

Most of the traditional retailers in the UK are facing many challenges, notably the rapid growth of their online competitors. The deal will put Gainsbury and Wal-Mart Asda in a stronger position to withstand the competitive risks of facing fierce competition from companies. Such as Amazon, and other online retail giants
