Emirates Steel Company in Abu Dhabi organized an awareness campaign for its employees under the slogan “One team, one goal”. Safety professionals provided an explanation of the use of safety equipment, as well as the provision of medical examinations for workers including eye examination clinic.
Saeed Ghamran Al Rumaithi, CEO of Emirates Steel, said: “The health and safety of our employees is a priority for the company and this day is dedicated to shed light on the importance of safety and greater awareness of safety in our company.”
Al Rumaithi added that profitability in the iron and steel industry should be consistent with the preparation of practical plans to identify and manage the main risks of safety incidents in the steel industry such as moving machines, falling from heights, falling objects, traffic on site and safety incidents resulting from operations. Emirates Steel has also presented awareness messages to more than 1,000 employees who participated in this day during various safety activities.
