UTera Middle East announced an investment of $20 million to develop the first factory in Ras Al Khaimah to produce organic fertilizers on an area of 33,000 square meters in the Al Ghail Industrial Area.

The company plans to produce organic fertilizers with precise biological specifications that are highly efficient for agricultural use and scientific research, by following unique methods for cultivating plants and fungi of medical importance.

The company will grow fruits, vegetables and berries in closed and open farms, and raise animals in order to produce organic products and foodstuffs

Dr. Anatoly Yunetsky, owner of Unipacks Group and founder of Uterra, said: “Many factors played a role in the company’s decision to establish its operations in Ras Al Khaimah due to its strategic location in helping it provide logistical solutions with the support of the RAKEZ team.”

Rami Jallad, CEO of RAKEZ Group, said: “At RAKEZ, we are keen to support innovation and sustainability in all aspects of business, as UTera follows the same approach in innovation and providing solutions by developing organic fertilizers to address environmental challenges in the field of agriculture, which is something that… It contributes to the sustainability of agriculture in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. This also appears clearly in conjunction with our commitment to the Year of Sustainability by facilitating procedures for companies to be able to contribute to creating an environmentally friendly future. This is not limited to economic growth only, but also goes beyond our firm commitment to sustainability and supporting the growth of companies.”
